_What we do

FLOW Architecture is a multidisciplinary research and design practice, working at the intersection of architecture, urbanism, and media art. Founded in 2013 by Vincent Nowak and Annarita Papeschi, the practice has built an extensive portfolio of architectural projects and mixed media installations.

Our research explores the impact of distributed technologies on the collaborative mechanisms of space making at the urban and architectural scale. We explore the topic through the design of media art interventions that have appeared at festivals and art institutions in UK and Europe. Funded by the European Media Art Platform (EMAP), our latest immersive VR installation, PERVASIVE EYES ASTURIAS, was recently exhibited at LABoral, Gijón (ES).

We are registered architects in the UK (ARB), with a design portfolio that includes a range of private and public architectural projects. The recent completion of the LIGHT FALLS house represents the apex of our explorations on domesticity. The practice was recently awarded the design of the MUNARI SCHOOL COMPLEX, a pre-primary school complex in Arcugnano, Northern Italy.

Our production draws on a mixed practice bridging academia and design consultancies. We have taught in the past at the Kent School of Architecture, London School of Architecture and The Bartlett School of Architecture. Our work has been extensively featured internationally and appeared on publications such as: Dezeen, Elle Décor, Interni, Wallpaper, Azure, Diseño Interior, Frame, Detail. FLOW Architecture was also part of the Tallinn Architecture Biennale in 2017 and the London Festival of Architecture 2016 and 2018.
